Can I register for a friend?
We would prefer that each individual participant handles his/her own registration. If that is not possible, please contact us at CREATE@interweave.com for more information.
Can children attend the retreat?
You must be 16 years of age to register for a workshop. By registering for a workshop you agree that you are capable of maintaining the pace of the workshop, or are willing to work at your pace within the schedule of the workshop.
One of the Workshops I want to attend is sold out. Will you open any more seats?
Continue to check the website regularly for updates to sold-out workshops. Because participants may cancel or change schedules, it is possible that a seat may open up. We will not, however, be adding seats to workshops as we have worked to place the appropriate number of participants in each workshop to ensure a great experience for everyone.
Will I receive a confirmation email?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation email after registering for a workshop. If you did not receive your confirmation, please confirm by checking your Junk Email folder. You can add our email to your address book to make sure you receive our emails: CREATE@interweave.com. If you still do not have your confirmation, please contact us directly via the email address above.
What supplies do I need for my Workshops?
Each workshop for which you are registered has a "Students Should Bring" list. The items listed will be general art supplies, most of which you probably already have. Some workshops also have a materials fee, which covers materials in addition to those you'll be bringing from the "Students Should Bring" list. You will be responsible for paying the materials fee directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop, before class begins. -CASH ONLY, EXACT CHANGE- The materials fee is required to participate and covers supplies provided in class for you by the instructor. Often the Instructor will bring additional materials to share.
What are Materials Fees and how do I pay for these fees?
Materials fees are in addition to the workshop fees. The materials fees vary from workshop to workshop, and some workshops do not have materials fees. While workshop fees will be collected online during registration, materials fees will be collected by the CREATE instructors onsite at the beginning of each workshop. Students are asked to bring cash only, exact change. The instructors will not be able to accept personal checks or credit cards, nor will they be able to make change. Students will not be able to partake in the workshops without first giving the materials fees to the instructors.
The materials list for my class says to bring a sewing machine. Is this necessary?
BERNINA is the Official Sewing Machine Sponsor for the CREATE Seattle Mixed Media Retreat. They will supply new machines for a Sewing Center and a Sewing Station classroom. Please check on the materials lists under the workshop description tabs for information about whether your workshop is in the Sewing Center or the Sewing Station before you bring a sewing machine to CREATE. Questions: please contact us at CREATE@interweave.com.
